The Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council is a non-profit organization that is devoted to fostering, supporting, and promoting the arts in the local community. It is committed to reflecting the cultural diversity of Pleasanton and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens. The City provides a community grant program for non-profit organizations that serve Pleasanton residents in the area of arts, culture, and youth programs. The Civic Arts Commission and Youth Commission evaluate applications from qualified organizations.
Furthermore, the City bestows honors to Pleasanton high school students who have achieved excellence in musical performance, visual arts, and literary arts (short stories and poetry). The Ohlone Peoples and California Indian Heritage Center Foundation are also part of the Pleasanton Civic Arts Commission of the Pleasanton Unified School District.
