SPRING BOUQUET
ARTIST: NANCY STORCH
Nancy exhibits locally in the Tri-Valley area and teaches Community Art Education classes at Las Positas College as well as privately. She is a member of the Livermore Art Association and Pleasanton Art League.
She started painting at age 12, studying on an art scholarship
at the Frye Art Museum in Seattle. Nancy majored in art and mathematics
at the University of Washington. Along with a career in software
engineering, she studied figure, plein-air watercolor, mixed
media, pastel and sculpture at San Francisco Art Institute, California
College of the Arts and at numerous workshops. Since retirement,
she devotes more time to painting, showing her work and teaching.
She works in a variety of media: oil, watercolor, pastel, ink
and acrylic.
"I enjoy observing the world around me. Painting lets
me express what I perceive, and helps me learn more about myself.
I never stop being amazed."
