ARTIST: GREGOR PIERCE

Gregor Pierce is a professional orchestral clarinetist and has played for 22 years with the American Ballet Theater, Joffrey Ballet, Moody Blues Band and the Berkeley Symphony, among others. Gregor paints art reflective of his music, emotions, and a life-altering vision. In his vision, biomorphic and primordial shapes turned into cave travel which concluded with a colorful mandala. A mandala is a picture, plan or chart that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically, a microcosm of the universe from the human perspective. Just as Gregor's music can be used in balancing the mind and body through hearing, his art can generate increased coherence in the brain, creating a balance and calming influence. He has completed over 2,600 paintings and drawings. He is also the author of five books.
